Monitoring a cPanel Account

Posted by Kemik, 02-19-2007, 04:39 PM
Hello all, How is the best way to monitor a cPanel account? E.g. Watch the CPU usage from that account, how much mail they're sending etc. It's on a VPS with WHM installed. Thanks.

You can check the Apache status for the httpd connections to the site. Here you can see the cpu usage. For mails you may check at mail statistics on WHM.

Hello Kemik, WHM itself helps you to monitor all accounts for CPU usage, Server status > CPU/memory/MySQL usage for mails, Email > View mail statistics

If you login to WHM via root, you can view the Apache status and MySQL/CPU resources. You can also see what bandwidth they are currently using as well as disk space. This should help with any decisions you need to make. Best of luck,

This way we can only view whats going on on the server overall... isn't there any way to monitor that for EACH hosting account individually?

If you have cloud Linux installed with cPanel in the server you can limit the resource usage for individual accounts.
